just wanted to let you know that I successfully trekked
to Everest base camp! It was a real challenge, not just
the long walking days, but the cold, the lack of food
and the very basic toilet facilities! However the training
programme and encouragement you gave me on the weeks leading
up to it were invaluable!

on when I could have traded it all in for a hot bath and

I
was given an opportunity in September 2010 to climb Kilimanjaro
and to raise money for charity at the same time. Taking
on this challenge was something completely outside my
comfort zone and the associated exercise was also very
alien to me. A few months into the training, the walking
began to get monotonous and a friend suggested that I
contact her personal trainer. The next 2-3 months were
spent partly on walking training and partly on Steve's
fitness programme. His attention to detail, personal experience
of Kilimanjaro and sympathetic, non-judgemental approach
to me and my challenge were incredibly helpful and, ultimately,
both rewarding and successful. Without Steve's personal
insight, guidance and encouragement in those last few
months of training, I am sure my challenge would have
been far more difficult than it was. I would like to thank
him for his time and patience and, above all, for giving
me the focus and the fitness to achieve my goal.

I
was very nervous about seeing a Personal Trainer, being
very overweight and unfit for a long time, I felt very
intimidated by the whole concept. How wrong I was! I was
recommended to Steve by a friend and overnight my life
changed. Working with Steve is the best thing I have done
for my health. Non Judgmental, understanding and a true
motivator are words I would use to describe him.
After an initial thorough assessment, Steve developed
a personal fitness and healthy eating plan that I still
follow today. I have lost a large amount of weight and
am far fitter and stronger than ever. We train at my home
and he brings all the equipment you need. He has a very
flexible approach.
Steve's energy and attitude, his extensive knowledge of
health and fitness and his ability to understand his client's
needs through ups and downs make him a very good personal
trainer. Steve will not provide you with a miracle but
he will show you how to get the most out of your program
and how to reach the goals you have set for yourself.
Above all, Steve won't give up on you, he will keep on
motivating.

while ago we introduced Steve’s Pilates classes

I
decided to join Cuviello Personal Health & fitness
as I have tried diets and gyms over many years with
varying degrees of success (usually failure). I am 41
years old and a professional, which means long hours,
a poor diet and lots of sitting down. In the first 7
months training with Steve I lost 3 stones 2 lbs in
weight and increased my fitness, strength and flexibility
beyond my expectations. This has had a positive knock-on
effect in other areas of my life. I've also started
to run regularly, having not ran in over 20 years. I
completed my first half marathon (13.1 miles) at the
Norwich Half Marathon in March 2011. I really could
not have done it on my own, the drive, enthusiasm, knowledge
and motivation is all down to Steve.

was looking for a form of exercise to both compliment
my Chiropractic care and improve my general health. My
main drive to do this was to ensure that I could continue
with Ten Pin Bowling, by helping promote core stability
and strength. Pilates has definitely made a huge impact

am a 55 year old 6’3” slightly overweight
man with a long standing ‘grumbling’ low back
problem. Steve’s Pilates class has helped me enormously
I now have some ‘core strength’. I noticed
an almost immediate improvement within a class or two.

Because of previous injuries I was limited as to what
I could do. Steve worked out a programme that was extremely
challenging and varied but which also helps improve greatly
the areas damaged through injury. I would have no hesitation

After
months of over indulgence and enjoying the good life,
I decided I had better start trying to get fit. Steve
took the time to find out my goals and what I wanted
to achieve. I struggled with weight loss for the first
4 months because I was convinced that I could eat what
I wanted and that exercise would be enough. Finally
Steve convinced me otherwise! He put me on a strict
diet and excercise programme. I lost a stone in 4 weeks!
I now sleep like a baby, I wake up in the morning and
literally bounce out of bed. I have massive amounts
of energy all day long I feel great.

The
training and in particular cycling training intensified.
Training for the Paris challenge, we completed the Norwich
50 miler and the Norfolk coast 100 miler in addition
to over 1500 miles training. The Wymondham to Paris
cycle itself was an amazing experience and a real achievement
for me and the team. We also raised £10,000 for
2 charities, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Action Arthritis,
both close to my heart! I now cycle regularly and these
changes to my lifestyle have all had positive benefits
all areas of my life.

The
work on nutrition was brilliant. Before making the changes
to my diet I had no energy and my weight seesawed. Now,
my energy is sustained, I can eat snacks and maintain
a healthy weight more easily. Life is so much better.

My
initial assessment was followed by a week long food
diary which was quite a revelation – my calorie
intake was far too weighted in favour of eating in the
evening. Sticking to treat and alcohol free days has
had a huge impact. After a thorough consultation Steve
has put together a training programme that is unique
to me and my long term goals and it has worked, with
even a training programme for working out at home. Steve
has been a great inspiration and has never been judgemental.
I
didn’t look at the fee as a cost but rather an
investment in my future wellbeing.

work as a consultant and I spend a lot of time in meetings,
driving and sat behind a desk. I liked the fact the
Steve himself had come to personal training through
tackling his own health issues and I felt that he would
have empathy and understanding. We have goals that are
personal to me and he regularly reminds me of those
as well as reviewing my progress. He has also produced
a home workout programme for me that I can use when
