About
me
In my youth I played lots of sports and enjoyed keeping myself
fit and healthy. In my mid 20’s my career brought me
to Norfolk and my lifestyle became poor; too much work, stress,
a poor diet, too much alcohol and not enough physical activity.
Over the next 10-15 years my career advanced, but my health
suffered with depression, being overweight and generally miserable
with my lifestyle.
Early 2006, I left my career after another bout of illness.
I thought seriously about my future and decided I needed to
sort out my unhealthy lifestyle. I got myself fit, lost several
stones and consequently started to feel great. I decided that
a career in health and fitness was for me. I would be able
to help people who have, like me, struggled with their health
and fitness, and I would have no excuse but to keep myself
fit and healthy!
In
recent years I have completed several challenges including
mountain trekking / climbling including Mt Kilimanjaro in
Tanzania and climbed in the Andes on Mt Aconcagua in Argentina,
the 3 peaks 24 hour challenge, the London Marathon and skydiving.
I continue to
set goals to stretch myself.
Current
Health & Fitness Goals
My current health and fitness goals revolve around running.
I am a keen member of Wymondham Athletic Club, always looking
to beat my personal best (PB) in most distances from 5k to
marathon. I am racing most weeks.
